Town hall 2023: first phase of sequencing complete

At our January 2023 general meeting, we shared a major milestone: the first phase of sequencing was finalized. Roughly 2,500 samples — three years of evolution across the network — had just been produced, and we presented preliminary analyses of this dataset.

We also walked through updates to our open bioinformatics software for variant and frequency calling and for population-genetic statistics from pool sequencing, and discussed how best to share the datasets with participants ahead of the first main resource paper.
